I’ve made some slight edits in the transcript below so that everything makes more sense in text form. But overall, this is almost a word-for-word dictation of what I say in the video. I’m a much better writer than this, I swear, haha.

I’m a very happy girl today because fall is upon us. I can already feel its magic coursing through my veins.  The cloudy days, the chill in the air, the scent of dying leaves, the Seattle gloom descending upon the land… bring forth the darkness and rid us of this cursed sun.

…I really love fall.

And one of my favorite things about fall is lighting one of my woodsy, harvesty candles on a cloudy day. There is no ecstasy that compares to the scent of a fall candle.

So in this video, I’m going to share some of my very favorite candles for fall!

My mission is for you to walk away from this video with all the candles you need for a blissfully cozy fall season.

And if you’re new to my channel, my name is Steffi and I’m the creator of the style blog Moda Misfit, and you’re watching Living Pretty, the place for apartment styling tips and small space decor inspiration. 1. Fern & Moss

Fern and Moss is a scent from Brooklyn Candle Company that really captures the feeling of a fall day.

This one reminds me of a fall day in Snoqualmie, Washington, which is where I’m from. Mmm, this is so good.

Like, you know when you step outside on a crisp autumn day and there’s that smell in the air that you can feel down to your bones? It’s wet soil, crackled brown leaves on the ground, that spiced coolness in the air...  That’s the feeling that Fern and Moss captures.

Sage, lavender, spruce, pine, and orange essential oils are the notes that make up this lovely scent, and I’ll put a link to where you can buy it in the description below. Same with all the candles I’ll be listing in this video.

Meanwhile, my cat Helo will be stalking me in the background because she’s creepy and adorable.

2. Tea Leaves

So, Tea Leaves is an herbal, earthy scent that’ll make you feel like you’re cozied up next to the fireplace on a rainy day with your favorite cup of tea.

Mmm, I wanna drink it. But I won’t.

Along with smelling utterly drinkable, this fragrance is heady and intoxicating - like green tea spiked with whiskey. But like spiked tea, this candle may be a little too strong for some.

But if you love a good, potent aroma that’s challenging and makes you feel like you’re really indulging in notes of bergamot, lime, green tea, agave nectar, and sage, Tea Leaves is the candle for you.

3. Cardamom & Vetiver

This Cardamom and Vetiver candle might be my favorite of the candles I’m talking about here. It’s basically autumnal bliss in a jar. And vetiver is my ultimate weakness when it comes to scents.

Vetiver is pretty much a guaranteed good thing in my book. Mmm! Goddamn. Woo! I turn into a monster when I smell candles.

When a scent makes me tap into my inner candle monster - a deep, primal part of me that’s impossible to tame when faced with such a pretty fragrance - I know it’s a good fit for me.

This candle feels emotional. With notes of nutmeg, lavender, and bergamot in addition to cardamom and vetiver, it’s like a warm hug on a cloudy day. It’s nostalgic and soothing, and that’s really the power of a good scent. It makes you feel things, man.

4. Fir & Suede

This Fir and Suede candle strikes the perfect balance between masculine and feminine. It’s like walking through the woods in your favorite leather jacket. It’s sexy and smooth, manly yet delicate, with notes of fir, leather, spruce, rosemary, and linen.

The best scents are the ones that evoke contradictory sensations like that. That’s when you know you have a candle that you’ll always find interesting, because it’s constantly challenging you as it delights you.

And that’s exactly what my Fir and Suede candle does. I’ll never get bored with this baby.

5. Silver Cedar

The final candle I’m recommending is Silver Cedar by Antica Farmacista, which is basically a cup of holiday cheer. It’s perfect for those November days when you feel the holidays looming right around the corner.

Mmm, this one’s premium. That’s premium shit right there.

I’m clearly a lover of inexpensive Target candles, but when you buy an Antica Farmacista candle, you’re in for something special.

With notes of cedarwood, sandalwood, agarwood, and black spruce, among others, it’s about as woodsy as you can get. Not to mention that, when the candle is lit, the mercury glass sparkles and it looks like little fairies are hanging out in there. Does it get any better than that? No. It does not get any better than that.

Well, I’m completely blissed out now because there is nothing that gets me going quite like a fall candle.
