My New Apartment! Empty Apartment Tour + Interior Styling Plans
Don't you feel like there's something kind of magical about a new empty apartment?
Like right before you move in and it's this barren landscape full of hope and promise because you are about to be the person who makes it effing pretty… That's my vibe right now.
And in this post I'm going to give you a tour of my new empty apartment and share some of my styling plans for it!
I think this will give you some insight into how I start to form a vision for an empty space - furniture layout and overall aesthetic - before a single thing even gets moved in.
So if you’re ever overwhelmed with the blank canvas struggle of a new apartment, step inside my brain and I’ll show you how I plan my own space and share some of my apartment decor ideas!

The Floor Plan
The Living Room
I already ordered the Sven Yarrow Gold Sectional Sofa from Article, and this is where I’m thinking it’ll go:
By the way, I use Canva to make these mockups. I highly recommend you use it for your styling process to help you visualize things!
I also ordered this media console, and it’ll go against this wall with my TV on it:

The Bedroom

The Kitchen
I honestly don’t have any decor ideas for the kitchen yet because 1) it’s lower on the priority list than the other rooms and 2) there’s limited counter space for decor anyway. It won’t take much to style it, and I’m planning on just experimenting with decor I already own in here!
